Use tape so that the filament won’t stick to the paper.
Start creating the outlines on the first wing using black filament.
Then fill-in the larger gaps with orange filament.

Fill-in the smaller ones with white filament and adding some white dots to the wings border.

Once the first wing is complete, repeat the same steps to make the second wing.

Remove one wing from the paper.

Create the butterfly’s body using black filament.

Make the antenna, pause a little before lifting the pen to keep the line straight.

Attach the other wing to the body at a tilt of roughly 30 degrees at a glance.

Remove the butterfly from the paper.

Now you have a butterfly.

Stick the rod to the back of the butterfly with a clear filament and hold it for a while till it dries.

Here is what it looks like.

You can also make them into keychains.

Or you can create an artistic and unique 3D wall decoration.
